Last Day at Lotusphere 2008
Thursday has arrived with its usual mix of relief and sadness. Last night at the theme park was great. Kathleen and I managed to ride Dueling Dragons, the Jurassic Park ride, Spiderman and the Hulk (3 times in a row). Today brings incredible back and neck pain thaqt Advil isn't helping and absolutely no speaking voice. Since I went to sleep right after the park visit and had not a single drink, the only thing I can blame for the pain and voice is the fact that nobody over 30 really had the tendons and ligaments needed to do that many coasters in a 2.5 hr period, and the non-stop stream of swear words on the Hulk from someone who sounded a lot like me is the reason for no voice. That plus 3 sessions and 18 hrs in the lab. I need a massage. And a place to lie down. And 12 months to recover before doing this again. As Bill Buchan just said, "I've reached the 'I'm never doing this again' point." Just like last year.
I'll be heading over to the Harass the Developers session in a bit, then the closing session, then the airport and home. Not a minute too soon
